What did you hope you would achieve by pursing this course?

I purchased the Personal Shopper course because I wanted to be able to put my colour skills to practical use and help customers to buy clothes in their own season’s colours. I knew that although I enjoyed clothes shopping for myself, I didn’t have the knowledge of skills to confidently shop for clothes with other people let alone paying customers, so when I saw your Personal Shopper course, I jumped at the chance!

Was the course what you expected?

The course was very thorough and contained knowledge and tips based on the authors many years’ experience in the field. The practical work and assignments were very valuable in laying the foundations for my learning and giving me more confidence to provide a Personal Shopper experience for paying customers.

Was it value for money? (£297 full price)

The course was excellent value for money and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of providing a Personal Shopper service as well as those who want to enhance their own personal shopping service. The course provides an opportunity to learn about the world of Personal Shopping which is a niche learning area for which there are scarce training resources. The personal tutor provided excellent positive feedback which provokes reflection and enhances learning.

1. The format of the course was logical and the sequence of topics, practical work and assignments flowed well.
2.  The assignments ranged across areas including research and creativity, covering areas of expertise which would be needed when providing a Personal Shopper experience.
3. The feedback from Helen was encouraging and supportive and helped to make me feel more confident that I was on the right track!

Did you find the Assignments helpful? 

Very helpful as they focused my mind and took me out of my comfort zone, building my confidence and illustrating the areas of the service with which I would need to be involved with.

Do you think you will be a better personal shopper/offer a better service as a result of following this course?

Definitely, yes. The course has given me a thorough and practical basis of how to be a personal shopper which would have been impossible to achieve by any other means.

Yes, definitely, and I would use the course material to help me to prepare and offer the service.

The course material provides many practical tips which are founded on the course authors many years’ service in this area. It also provides handy templates which can be adapted to suit your needs. 

My tutor went the extra mile in providing feedback on areas such as choosing a business name which enhanced the whole experience and improved my likelihood of success in providing in a Personal Shopper service.
